Katie Moreno from Organized Adviser
Katie Moreno (MJE) spent 6 years building an award-winning journalism program and is now an education consultant, as the founder of Organized Adviser. She is passionate about creating highly-interactive and hands-on learning experiences for publication staffs. But when she’s not nerding out over yearbooks, you can find her scuba diving, collecting pins from every city she visits, or drinking too much iced coffee.

In this training session, we explored ways to plan your yearbook - from the planning stage to final approval.
Advisors learned how to utilize the online store, best practices for in-school sales, and how to reinvest any profits to grow the program for the future.
Yearbook Photography Workshop
In this session, photographers shared their best photography tips and tricks for getting perfect shots every time.
Advisors learned technical strategies with ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and flash photography.
New Advisor Orientation
This lesson is a hands-on workshop for advisors new to yearbooks.
Advisors used a rubric to plan ahead and learned how to organize staff and how to come up with lesson plans for the first 6 weeks.
Yearbook Software Q&A
In this session, advisors have an opportunity to speak with our yearbook software developers to learn new tips and tricks.
